We're here to help!
Welcome to the Jewish Outreach Institute.
JOI addresses the most important issues facing the North American Jewish community by helping intermarried couples, their children and grandchildren, as well as the unengaged and others who are new to Judaism find meaning in Jewish life and make connections to the organized Jewish community.
We create original programming—such as the Mothers Circle for women of other religions backgrounds raising Jewish children within the context of intermarriage—and we provide consultation and support to organizations like synagogues, Jewish community centers, and others (many of which are part of our Big Tent Judaism coalition). To learn more about our work, please visit the About Us section.
We hope you will take a moment to look around our site. We offer basic information on the Jewish holidays in the How We Celebrate section, and more specific information about the issues of intermarriage in the Frequently Asked Questions and the Library and Learnin’ sections.
If you can’t find what you are looking for, or there is something specific we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.
And if you’d like to receive our bi-monthly newsletter, please complete the Feedback Form. We welcome your input.
Together, we can make Jewish life more welcoming and meaningful for all who would join us.
