New Publication from B'nai B'rith and JOI: The Ripple
Effect
JOI, one of the youngest of American Jewish organizations,
has teamed up with the Center for Jewish Identity of Bınai
Bırith International, the oldest Jewish organizations
in the country, to produce a new publication called, ³The
Ripple Effect.² The booklet is designed to convey the
complex feelings of interfaith couples and their families
in their encounters with the Jewish community. The publication
seeks to pave the way for interfaith couples seeking a
more welcoming atmosphere in the organized Jewish community.
Based on a series of group interviews with couples and
their Jewish parents, the booklet is sure to be of value
to both people who are going through the experience themselves
as well as for Jewish communal professionals who are looking
to provide interfaith couples with a more welcoming experience
in the Jewish community.
