High Holiday Highlights Holiday Prep Class, a unique free, fun, and interactive session that will prepare parents who are new to Judaism to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and honor Yom Kippur in a meaningful way with their families, is coming to San Francisco! With class activities ranging from learning to recite the Rosh Hashanah blessings to listening to Leonard Cohen’s “Who By Fire?” (a comparison to the Rosh Hashanah prayer, “Unetanah Tokef”), High Holiday Highlights will help participants of all learning styles understand how both individuals and the community as a whole experience the High Holiday period in the synagogue and in the home.

The Mothers Circleprovides FREE education and support for women of other religious backgrounds who are raising Jewish children. Come be a part of this warm and nurturing environment and feel empowered to take on the responsibility of raising children in Judaism. Mothers in all family constellations are welcome and participants do not have to be affiliated with a Jewish institution or have any prior knowledge.


The Mothers Circle is a program of the Jewish Outreach Institute.
