Are you a mother raising Jewish children... but you're not Jewish? Don't do it alone!
Hanukkah Helper Holiday Prep Class, a fun, free, interactive single-session class that will prepare mothers of other backgrounds (and family members who may be interested) for celebrating Hanukkah in an enjoyable, meaningful way with their Jewish children, is coming to Providence!
Beyond just an outline of the Hanukkah story, symbols and ritual, Hanukkah Helper delves into topics such as the history of Hanukkah observance in North American Hanukkah, as well as how to navigate the winter holiday season in a Jewish context. All this culminates in experiencing Hanukkah through food and song, as it offers tips on how to go beyond gift-giving to make Hanukkah a meaningful family experience.
